Gleistein mooring lines
Gleistein Ropes was founded in 1824 in Bremen, Germany. They are known for developing, manufacturing and distributing high quality mooring lines and mooring lines. These 1st class mooring lines come in numerous shapes and sizes and are always custom made. Gleistein is highly specialized in producing custom-made mooring lines for superyachts.
Material mooring lines
The mooring lines are available in different materials, diameters, breaking strengths and colors. The specifications and features can be found below:

Polyester mooring lines
Polyester mooring lines are generally long lasting. They are wear-resistant, have high toughness. Polyester mooring lines do not float.

Polyamide mooring lines
Compared to Polyester mooring lines, these mooring lines have a high stretch and are very strong. These lines do not float and may shrink a bit over the years.

Polypropylene mooring lines
Polypropylene mooring lines are comparatively inexpensively priced. In general, these lines are a bit weaker and the lines wear out a bit faster than mooring lines made of other materials. The polypropylene lines can float.

Dyneema (HMPE)
In terms of material, a Dyneema line is the strongest (similar to steel wire). There is no stretch in this line and it has high buoyancy and is highly abrasion resistant.
Note! The diameter of a line is always measured under tension. We recommend assuming breaking strength at all times.
