Polyform APB XL modular buoy
The APB XL series represents a series of modular buoys designed for surface and underwater use. The buoys are designed to form a modular system. Modules can be added or removed to adapt to the desired buoyancy. Available with a buoyancy capacity of up to 10 tons.
Rotationally molded from 10 mm thick polyethylene (PE) and, depending on the application, filled with polystyrene foam (EPS) or polyurethane foam (PUR).
The buoys feature hot-dipped galvanized steel fittings, 4 full-length hot-dipped galvanized steel bolts and a continuous chain through the middle. The steel fittings and chain vary from application to application, depending on whether it is aquaculture or energy/offshore, and surface or subsea installations.
The buoys also feature an integrated fixture for lights and various other equipment that is easy to mount. Features yellow daylight reflective bands on all 4 sides. The shackles feature an integrated pipe as part of the upper disc, allowing easy mounting of lights and other equipment.
The APBXL buoy for offshore applications
APBXL buoys are produced with steel fittings for offshore applications and, depending on the application, filled with polystyrene foam (EPS), polyurethane foam (PUR) or another type of foam. The cuffs can be easily customized to meet the customer's requirements. They can be equipped with different steel fittings, different sizes of continuous chain and different materials adapted for use on the surface or at depth.
