Megafend Polyurethane balfender
Megafend’s EDW-P™ balfenders are lightweight fenders made of polyurethane material. Polyurethane coating provides even more safety aboard superyachts. Polyurethane ball fenders have four times the abrasion resistance than Hypalon and twice the puncture resistance compared to PVC fenders. These seams of the Megafend lightweight fenders are welded instead of glued, reducing the chance of leakage. In addition, this type of fender has a longer lifespan given its very strong material.
It uses 40 oz / yd Mil Spec polyurethane coated fabric, cited in US Navy testing* as significantly stronger than 40oz / yd Hypalon fenders.
The Megafend lightweight bafender comes standard with a ''hanging strap eye'' but stainless steel is also available upon request.
